CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral Therapy

This therapy is subtle, yet powerful, bodywork rendering amazing results. Through very light touch, we can facilitate the body’s natural orientation to self-correct. Guided by the principles of fluid dynamics, we gently peel away the subtle and connecting restrictions. Any unresolved physical or emotional event creates a structural residue. These restrictions often result in the cumulative and gradual pain and dysfunction affecting all areas of your life. CST seeks to eliminate these layered lesions to promote health and vitality.

Somatoemotional Release is a component of Craniosacral Therapy. It addresses the strain patterns created by physically manifested emotions. The release of these emotionally based strain patterns is an integral part to wellness.  This approach is useful for people experiencing the following conditions:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Vertigo/dizziness
  • Post-acute head trauma
  • Visual changes
  • TMJ disorders
  • Digestive problems
  • Dental/Orthodontic work
  • Many other conditions
Pediatric Craniosacral

small-dj-and-toddler-22By clearing the structural restrictions, the body can align to a place of healthy reorganization. As a result, the child can develop in a more ideal manner. Every newborn should receive a CST session immediately after birth*. I refer to it as “ironing out the wrinkles”. These wrinkles may occur from embryonic or fetal development, fetal positioning, or birth “trauma”. Once “wrinkle” free, ideal development can occur. Craniosacral therapy provides all infants the ability to start out on the right path.

Craniosacral Therapy benefits children of all ages. As the child grows, developmental or other new limitations may arise. These limitations can be a result of illness, injury or trauma. CST can address most issues affecting the growing child including:

  • Colic
  • Nursing Difficulties
  • Torticollis/neck spasm
  • Plagiocephaly (misshapen head)
  • Developmental issues
  • Failure to thrive
  • Autism
  • Learning difficulties
  • Behavioral Issues

Treatments are geared toward an individual child. We have a toddler room with pillows, toys, DVD player and room to run.
